Your domain, not theirs

Link in bio with a custom domain

A bio page at yourname.com instead of linktr.ee/yourname looks like yours, survives a platform change and can be printed on anything. Here is who allows it and the cheapest way in.

Answer in brief. No bio tool here includes a custom domain on its free plan. The cheapest routes are Carrd Pro Standard at $19 a year and Beacons Creator at $10 a month with the domain itself included free. Milkshake Pro+ is $10 a month, Komi Pro $20. Linktree's pricing page does not mention custom domains. ReSlug's free custom domain applies to short links; its bio page stays on the ReSlug domain.

Why the domain matters more than the template

Three reasons. People trust a link they recognise, and a branded domain gets more taps than a generic one. A domain you own can be moved to another tool in an afternoon without changing the link in every profile. And some platforms throttle or warn on the big shared bio domains after spam waves; your own domain is never on that list.

The counter-argument is cost and setup. You need to buy a domain, roughly $10 to $15 a year for a .com, and add a DNS record. Every tool below handles SSL for you once the record resolves.

The options, cheapest first

  1. Carrd Pro Standard, $19 a year. Unlimited own domains across ten sites, SSL via Let's Encrypt, forms, embeds and cookie-free analytics. You design the page yourself.
  2. Beacons Creator, $10 a month ($8.33 annually). Includes a free custom domain, so you do not even buy one. Unlimited links, store, email and media kit come with it.
  3. Milkshake Pro+, $10 a month ($8.33 annually). Connect your own domain, plus Google Analytics and the lowest selling fee.
  4. Komi Pro, $20 a month ($16 annually). Custom domain, branding removed, Meta pixel and 0% product fee.
  5. Taplink Business, about $4.50 to $6 a month. Custom domain on the top tier; prices unverified on the official page.
  6. Lnk.Bio Unique, about $24.99 one time. Reported to include a custom domain; confirm on lnk.bio.

Stan Store's pricing page does not state custom-domain support. Linktree's pricing page does not mention custom domains on any tier, and third-party sources disagree about whether Premium supports them, so treat Linktree as "not documented".

A different approach: brand the links, not the page

If what you really want is branded links in your posts and on printed material, a URL shortener with a free custom domain does that without a paid bio plan. ReSlug gives you a custom domain for 500 short links free, plus a ten-link bio page on its own domain. You end up with go.yourbrand.com/shop in every post and a bio page that costs nothing. The hub has a full ranking of shorteners with custom domains.
